BLD2,
Hope that is not true....it is the only LI show on the DB schedule. (maybe it is sold out?).
Only one ABB show in the are, only one DB+GS show in the area....it will leave me in a state of withdrawl.
Mitch
Hey Gang good morning:cool:
hope all are having a Groovy one:wave:
I just checked AC Entertainment's website. They are promoting the Knoxville, Birmingham, Mobile, and Atlanta shows for Tom Waits. No onsale has been announced. The show in Knoxville will be in the civic auditorium, which is not very visually appealing, but has phenomenal sound.
It should be in the Tennessee theater, which one of the most outstanding smaller venues I have ever been in, including the Fox in Atlanta.
well thanks for all of the replies -
Has the August 19 Westbury Music Fair show been cancelled for Dickey - I just tried for tickets and was told the show was no longer in their data base
Yes glad to hear it Terri - will have to get tickets for a L.I. Dickey show - its been too long
So its ticket purchase day - I just got two lawn tickets for PNC - and the extra charges are outrageous - two tickets $40.50, convenience and faciliity charges $27.00 and order processing fee $5.15 - I think its disgusting!!! thanks for the gift card -
now for my Mule shows
Please do not forget your local food pantries as they are dangerous low - just a can of tuna, soup, a box of cereal, pasta, peanut butter - it all helps
Glad to hear it Terri! Sounds like Dickey and company are getting off to a great start. Glad Matt Z is getting his music out too.
Mitch
It was awesome, Luke! :guitar: Probably the best DB and GS show I've seen. The Matt Zeiner Band opened the show. It was a treat to hear Matty again, too.
We have known that about Derek for a while now! Glad the rest of the world is catching on.
I had a real nice night at Bhojanic Indian Restaurant tonight -- I went to get some of their award-winning food, but was only there a few minutes when Colonel Bruce showed up and sat with me the rest of the night.
Turns out this Monday was scheduled for a show by Genetic Drift, Duane Trucks's band. The music started at 10:00 and kept me entranced. This is a jazz trio that is second to none -- and that's saying something!
Duane told me that his parents went backstage to meet Carlos Santana at one of the Atlanta shows at Chastain Park. He said Carlos told them that first there was John Coltrane, then Miles Davis, and now Derek Trucks. High praise, indeed!
At the Chastain show, Santana introduced Derek to the audience as the "anointed one."
Guess he has some fairly strong opinions ...
excitement! excitement! excitement!

One question: this was my first show at the Ford Amphitheater. Nice place, but it took over an hour to get out of the parking lot. Is that always the case? I would love to know.
Ford Ampitheatre parking is the world's worst! Only one way out? And right next to Interstate 4..? Somebody musta been smokin some good hooch when they designed that one!
Oh, and yeah it sucks everytime I've been there. I just sit and wait it ouit. Got home around 1:30 when I should hve got there by 12am..
word is they could not announce it yet because they are playing Mtn. Jam very close by. Some type of radius clause. Its talked about in the forum.
I think they are playing there.
For anyone interested in the new Verizon Wireless amphitheater in Alpharetta, GA, there are 4 or 5 stories and a dozen and a half pictures on the front "page" of AJC.com right now.
BLD2 - the Meatloaf commercial is pretty funny, I gotta say.
Anyone know whether RatDog is confirmed as the "special guest" at the Bethel Woods show? I see that they have been confirmed for Saratoga. I have front row seats for Bethel and will be very disappointed if Senor Weir does not show.
As far as the Clapton thread the Winwood Clapton shows I saw at MSG in Feb. were the best I've ever seen Clapton perform in the close to 100 times I've seen him since 79. They should definitely schedule more shows together. They were that good. Glad to hear hes doing lots of stuff off the Layla album. Is Derek with him on this tour?
Am I the only one who likes the Meatloaf commercial with his "son" and Tiffany as his wife - looks like a clone - you can't knock him for making $$ from a song he wrote over 30 years ago - I wore out that cassette - Bat Out of Hell LOL
me too on the disks!!
Healing prayers to all those in need
