I see that some are ready to jump on me. I could have named the ones that would slam me before I wrote the post. I do understand the feelings of you people. If I had said the sky was blue some would still blast me. It does not hurt my feelings or do I care. I am my own man. I speak what I feel. The only thing is, it did not happen to you, so you have no idea how you would handle things. So be it. Funny thing is you read the post, which puts you in the same bag.

Hey Now!! Happy Birthday to HoochiecCoochieGirl. We sure have had some Goodtimes together. May you have a Blue Sky day and may your Soulshine. Hope to see you down the road. I am sorry Bluedrummer to hear of your loss. My Thoughts & Prayers are with your Wife, Son and your entire Family. You are correct in the ex Marine statement, there are only Marines and former Marines!!! Your post has inspired me to post something here I posted on Dickeys' site yesterday conerning my own situation. I have received so much support from the Family here in the past. "Unfortuntately Pam & I won't be able to go to the Peachcity gigs it appears. The biopsy came back positive for squamous carcinoma cancer and I need to deal with it soon. This is separate from the earlier carcinoid cancer so I will be fighting this demon on 2 fronts. The plan is to begin radiation and chemo in about 2 or 3 weeks. I do have many test coming up during the next week or 2. I also hope to work from home again as that will help keep me occupied. Thanks to all of you for the ongoing support. It has really meant quite a lot. I'm a pretty tough old dude and I can beat this thing!!! I'll be alright in the long run, I've made it this far"!!! I go to the James Cancer Hospital at Ohio State University tomorrow for follow-up testing on the carcinoid cancer concerning my liver. This was already planned prior to the lastest news. They will now be looking for the carcinoma cancer also during the testing. I am so fortunate to have Pam & the Children giving me support. Thanks for listening folks and for all the support. Peach.

Bluedrummer I'm glad you were able to make your peace with your father. I missed my chance and thats something that I'll have to live with for the rest of my life. Always remember the good times, the smiles and the laughter, and remind your wife and children whenever you can. Remember that he's smiling down from a better place. Peace be with you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, bluedrummer. I am so happy to hear you reconciled with your dad a few months before he passed. Hug your loved ones and open your hearts to forgiveness, for we only pass this way once ...

I just wanted to say, i got to see my first Allman Brothers Concert in Hershey, Pa. and it was fabulous!!! i've listened to their music and never got to see them in person. Bob Weir and the Ratdogs opened up for them.. it was the best way for me to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend...

Condolences to bluedrummer. I would think that Butch came to the site to check in for reviews that have been posted about the tour so far. Instead he see's the same old crap that some just can't let go. It's fine if you're angry about Dickey being out of the band, but to continue to beat the dead horse on the GB needs to end. Live for today. We have great music still happening, including this current lineup, which many of us plan our vacations around, to get the joy it still brings us. To me, this band is incredible and I'm grateful to keep going to hear shows, as long as they choose to play. If it's not your thing, go support what you want to support, whoever it may be.
