Just scored two tickets to The Dead, 4/26 at the XL Center in hartford CT. Funny though, had to go Livenation.com and the redirected to TicketMaster...its lik ethey have a hand in every pocket!

I am sorry to read of the difficult times for Stacy, Janet, Nancy & John and their loss.
Make that # 7 just chimed in. Dickey was at the 31st anniversary at the Beacon. Just my 2 cents worth. I hope you all have a Safe & Goodtime weekend. Please keep Frankie Toler in your Thoughts & Prayers. It's a wonderful thing what Danny and many others are doing for him. Peach.

I can echo those sentiments about what a wonderful/special person Jacquie is - would give you anything if you needed it -
RedDog you should really stick to something you actually know something about maybe golf. I removed the drunk son in law sir my daughter and grandaughter did remain in my home and could have stayed for life. I know more people on this site than you sir most folks do not want to get involved in this they just want this place to remain positive and happy like in normally is. I have received countless PM's thanking me for defending the band. I even tried to talk to you outside via PM but of course you want nothing to do with that because you want to keep the pot stirred. Again and negative comments on dickey were in response to negative comments by others directed at the band and your concocted story Story that Butch is to blame and Dickey never did anything wrong. I think Dickey's drinking is public knowledge and I have witnessed it myself in person I guess your memory is not quite what it used to be. I thought you just said again this morning to keep it kind Sir. Wow everyone of the brown site six have already chimed in.
I hope you find the peace your looking for. I'm done fighting the fight.

In fact, THAT is the way it is with 99.99% of the people that I have met and/or written to from this wonderful place. And therein lies the beauty and the magic of this place as well as the spirit of the brotherhood that continues to flourish here. Thank you to Lana and Rowland for making it happen.

Savannah, Stone, you guys are looking good on those beautiful horses. Savannah, I guess because you are a friend of mine Philly thinks he has to blast you. He is another who hides on the guest book saying what he says to degrade people. Very few know this geek. He gets real brave on here. I wonder if he can back it up in person. I think not. He more than likely would start the crawl dance. I think the man has some personal problems and takes them out here. Remember this is the guy that kicked out his son-in-law. Screw what would happen to his daughter. Sounds like he did not care. Put her in the street. He has two or three lines which are lies. I don't know how he judges success? This band has been living on past glory for a few years. No hit songs. Derek solo stuff is the only one to come out with something even close to a hit. The band is still playing the same old gigs. This is success he says. The low life can only run his mouth putting people down because he does not want to see Betts at the Beacon. I see where he said he was holding out for the last couple of days. That is funny. That's the days Betts might play. Hippocratic Bas****. is what he is. A low life that needs to crawl back in his hole. Why he thinks he needs to slam those who post that they would like to see Betts at the Beacon is mind blowing. He thinks like some others on here that they run this garbage book. That is what it has turned into. Lana only says thing to the people she does not like. She never tells her goodie good friends to watch what they say. That chick Jacquie says something negative to Rick, and he fires back. Lana gets on Rick. This is not the first time. Rick's got more brains than most on here. The man can read between the lines while a lot of others only see the shape of the picture.
I see Philly just posted more lies. He said he is not bad mouthing Betts. He has called him a drunk and a whole bunch other names. If someone says something about the others, he acts like they are saints. The man has dug a ditch and he does not know how to get out. He can only cry like a lap dog. He sure can't handle the truth. Jacquie sending a big hug to you... Not sure what all the hoopla was about ... But I do know Jacquie and a nicer sweeter person you will not find.. Upon my arrival at the Beacon in 05 .. I meant Sari outside who kindly brought me inside to the " gathering" where I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Ector .. he actually came over to me and introduced himself... we chatted a few minutes and off to meet Jacquie , who immediately made me feel as if I was at home amongst all these people, fans, sweeties... I think next was Lana and Rowland and Terri B .. not sure after that.. But all who I did meet were the nicest people ever and we all had one main thing in common the ABB and how the music made us feel.
We have become divided on many levels here when is comes to Dickey Betts... it is such a shame ... There does seem to be only a handful that actually voice their concerns , wants about the 40 th with DB.
Some say the band doesn't owe us anything , well I see that alittle different... We are the fans and pay these outrageous ticket prices to see THEM.. in turn what are they hearing in their world from us.... only what they want ?? It makes me disillusioned in my continuing support here. I think it is at the end of the day sorta speak for the ABB and they really don't care what we think or feel.
It's hard to have a conversation regarding this and how it turned into this celebration about all who played with Duane ... another chance to belittle Dickey Betts publicly by not inviting him... Just Ridiculous...
Well as we approach the beginning of the Beacon... it does become clearer everyday to me and I'm sure to the delight of some .. that they have ignored, Betts and his contributions and I can only hope you all will BOO and BOO loudly when the huge Hippie Screen is up there and the pictures of Betts are flashing by , if not BOO become quiet and reflect on want you are seeing and know in your heart it is wrong ... Shame ,for ever on them... It's damn embarrassing to say I was ever a fan at this point...
I want them to make me " wrong " now.
I'm sure many will come on here and rip this apart as it usually happens when someone posts about DB.. I guess they are the GB keeper on anything DB.
To all those who are tired of this ... and that means me too... it is coming to end ... March will be here and gone before we all know it.. and headed into spring. For the record yes , I will be seeing DB here on L.I. and ya know what .. he is the closes thing to seeing and hearing the ABB I want or need. I will help him celebrate his 40 year contribution to the ABB .. He will be gracious and kind about it too in front of his fans, you can count on that. He never discusses the past about the ABB with the fans. He has only stated flattering things about the band and their music.

Mike, I've posed that situation myself. I'm hoping that TicketMaster sends out a e-mail to its customers stating that somehow, a ton of tickets have been returned and are available. I am keeping my hotel reservations just in case! 😉

Bands and venues have insurance to cover losses on cancellations for whatever reason, also Ticketmaster charges a fee for tickets which was not refunded so they made their money. TM fees are roughly $10 a ticket which is a considerable amount of money.
My hope is that when the tickets do not get sold through Tickets Now they will go back into the regular TM system for the advertised price.
Regarding those HIGH PRICES by TicketsNow, StubHub and other SCALPERS: I am deeply afraid that the Allman Brother's Band will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary by playing to a lot of empty chairs.
I got blanked on the pre-sale and the general sale - first time ever!
Not only do I refuse to pay these EXHORBITANT SCALPER PRICES - I simply cannot afford to do so.
I do not even imagine that the band itself, is in cahoots with TicketMaster/TicketsNow. It does occur to me that TicketMaster just might be trying to recoup some of the money that it had to refund on last year's cancelled Beacon run - by funneling virtually EVERY ticket for the 20th and 21st shows to its sister company, TicketsNow.

Well he wasnt at the 39th,38th,37th,36th,35th,34th,33rd,32nd, 31st either has he made attempt to make amends with his old mates. I do not do anything to bad mouth Dickey he is a great guitarist and was instrumental for 30 years with the band. There are so much better without him that I do not desire them to go backwards. I have only posted on the brown site when someone bashed the band or blamed Gregg or Butch for the reason Dickey is not in the band. Dickey can do things for Duane if he cares too.
