Good morning :flower2: Jacquie sending a big hug to you... Not sure what all the hoopla was about ... But I do know Jacquie and a nicer sweeter person you will not find.. Upon my arrival at the Beacon in 05 .. I meant Sari outside who kindly brought me inside to the " gathering" where I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Ector .. he actually came over to me and introduced himself... we chatted a few minutes and off to meet Jacquie , who immediately made me feel as if I was at home amongst all these people, fans, sweeties... I think next was Lana and Rowland and Terri B .. not sure after that.. But all who I did meet were the nicest people ever and we all had one main thing in common the ABB and how the music made us feel. We have become divided on many levels here when is comes to Dickey Betts... it is such a shame ... There does seem to be only a handful that actually voice their concerns , wants about the 40 th with DB. Some say the band doesn't owe us anything , well I see that alittle different... We are the fans and pay these outrageous ticket prices to see THEM.. in turn what are they hearing in their world from us.... only what they want ?? It makes me disillusioned in my continuing support here. I think it is at the end of the day sorta speak for the ABB and they really don't care what we think or feel. It's hard to have a conversation regarding this and how it turned into this celebration about all who played with Duane ... another chance to belittle Dickey Betts publicly by not inviting him... Just Ridiculous... Well as we approach the beginning of the Beacon... it does become clearer everyday to me and I'm sure to the delight of some .. that they have ignored, Betts and his contributions and I can only hope you all will BOO and BOO loudly when the huge Hippie Screen is up there and the pictures of Betts are flashing by , if not BOO become quiet and reflect on want you are seeing and know in your heart it is wrong ... Shame ,for ever on them... It's damn embarrassing to say I was ever a fan at this point... I want them to make me " wrong " now. I'm sure many will come on here and rip this apart as it usually happens when someone posts about DB.. I guess they are the GB keeper on anything DB. To all those who are tired of this ... and that means me too... it is coming to end ... March will be here and gone before we all know it.. and headed into spring. For the record yes , I will be seeing DB here on L.I. and ya know what .. he is the closes thing to seeing and hearing the ABB I want or need. I will help him celebrate his 40 year contribution to the ABB .. He will be gracious and kind about it too in front of his fans, you can count on that. He never discusses the past about the ABB with the fans. He has only stated flattering things about the band and their music. Sorry to take up the space on the fan Guest book about a founding member... GEE that feels strange right there.. hmmmmmm Have a great Friday and Blue Sky Day all.
