I phoned the Colonel to chat with him about the upcoming MaconFest and he filled me in on a few tidbits. He said he was supposed to have been in New York with Derek tonight but he couldn't make it. Why New York? I asked. Oh, he replied, Derek, Jimmy, Warren, they're all up there tonight to play at the Jammies. Really, sez I, any chance that Jimmy could make a suprise appearance in Macon? Possibly, he answered, but he will definitely be at Jake's Roadhouse with me and Bobby (Lee Rodgers) on Sunday for the Dunham's show. I checked out http://thecodetalkers.com and discovered that Bruce and Bobby Lee are doing a special acoustic set at 11:00 PM at Jake's. With an unannounced special guest, apparently ... Looks like another can't miss event for the weekend in Atlanta, folks!
