I'll echo what a lot of others are saying about military recruiters and "promises made". Anybody going into the military needs to make sure ALL PROMISES about job training, recruiting bonuses, ect are IN WRITING. If it's not in writing you're pretty much SOL, and will serve "the needs of the military", as THEY see fit. One more thing to remember, is that anymore, if you join the military that you have "an eight year comittment". Now it might not be all active duty, but nevertheless, if the military needs you, they can call you back. My wife's nephew found that out year and half after being released from active duty, and had to spend another year and half on active duty, mostly as a "Humvee driver in Iraq". btw, he's back home now, safe and finally out of the Army.
