Had a great time at BB Kings Saturday night to see Johnny and Edgar Winter - unfortunately BB Kings did not have their act together as we arrived at 9:50 for the 10:30 show and we were not allowed in until 11:10 but the show had not started yet - I guess the clean up was more than they imagined. The place was beyond packed and I had lost hope for a table when our hostess took us to the far end and sat us at the table stage left - perfect viewing and we were happy. Johnny W was frail - had to be helped off and onto the stage but when he sat down and played, about five songs, he was awesome - unfortunately he did not join Edgar for the encore - I guess two shows were a bit much - my first time hearing him live and I was so happy I went. Edgar really surprised the crowd - that man had alot of energy and I kept saying oh yeah I do know that song - to finally hear Frankenstein and Tobacco Road live were worth the wait - the best $35 I spent this year was for this show. Never saw anyone take a keyboard with a strap and play it around his neck - pretty cool - and he wailed on the sax - great show - catch them if you can
