...Not the first time a radio station has referred to The ABB that way BLD. I guess they just aren't astute enough to call them anything else...
I have always been glad The ABB - past or present - despised them being labeled "Southern Rock" as much as we do. If I was on the radio, what I would probably say is this: The Allman Brothers Band have always been the definition of great music whether it be Blues, Rock or Jazz from the North, South or any place in between...The Allman Brothers Band has been an American Institution for the past 38 years and counting.... "
That's a bit more astute, descriptive and true than simply saying "Southern Rock" I think...
