My friend in Austin finally came up for air! Here's her report on the Austin show: "Hi Stephanie, I thought the show was great! I think Derek Trucks is one of the most professional musicians I have seen in a long time. The only time I saw his eyes light up was when Susan T. came out and sang a song with him. I really enjoyed the AAB playing with Eric Johnson and David Grissom. David was in a band called Storyville, that was one of my favorite bands in Austin. Spent the last two days at the first annual Austin City Limits Festival, what a line up. I am so tired today, I wish I could take a nap. See Ya, Sally" Maybe everyone else went from the Austin show to the Austin City Limits Festival as well...and are just too plum tuckered to report in. Sally and I saw the ABB together several times back in the '70s in South Florida. One day we'll have to catch a show together for old times' sakes...hmmm...maybe I can get her to meet me at the Beacon... Stephanie
