What a wonderful four days of friends and music I was so fortunate to experience! 😀
I'm afraid I would leave people out if I tried to mention everyone from this site that I saw this weekend. The HTW friends I've made and continue to make are as equally important as the music, to me.
Speaking of music, my personal favorite from beginning to end of the three shows I heard was VA Beach. The individual music highlight of the weekend was still that "MJ">"slightly slower jam">"Smokestack Lightning" sequence from Raleigh. Wow! Kirk was bouncing in place to that one.
Last night I enjoyed the extended jam at the end of "Maydell", which is typically not one of my favorite songs.
It is so great to see how much the guys in the band are enjoying themselves. 🙂
Jim, Emily, and I were amazed by the overzealous seat/security guys at VA Beach--they almost detracted from my show experience. However, I, personally, would have really enjoyed having that same diligence at last night's show! 🙁
What a fun time, though!
