Right on Marley, I am glad all is well. When you get a chance, write me about the results in that Dick Griffin thing. I was never filled in on that. Ryan Belair, I would agree with the substitution of another tune in place of "Good Clean Fun", but with the way they are playing now, and the new record on the way, how can one complain too much. The one aspect of the aforementioned number that I like is that its another tune that Derek plays regular lead on without slide. I love his playing all the way around- but I think he fails to get the recognition he deserves on the lead side of things- everyone is always talking about his slide dominance, which is not to be denied. But he holds his own if not more with his bluesy-jazzy-hornlike lead playing also. But I like you, support the notion of "Kind Of Bird", just because it hasn't been played in awhile, and Derek and Warren really excel at delivering jazzy solos which is of course the essence of the piece- coming from Bird (CHarlie Parker), and also Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. Peace.
