BLD: Re #4. I made this observation first when traveling to Chicago and observed how awful and frizzy the womens hair tended to be. Maybe its the wind and winter climate. When we moved to Cary, we noticed the same thing about the Yankee (and yes a southerner can spot a Yankee) women and like what's up with the hair??? And the same with eyeglasses....see far more of the '80's style of eyeglasses style up North than down South. Dont know why, but its the deal as far as what I observed. NEIL: So right you are son about FL and Bball. Of course, looking a thousand miles away, one could see that perspective, but the reality is basketball actually means very little in the DEEP South (as evidenced by the amount of news coverage it does not get compared to football and racing). Pockets of exceptions exist, but in the South as a whole...its football by far. Where do you think the Univ of FL got their bball players?? 🙂
