Just back from 7 days at the beach with the kids. Survived the 7.5 hour ride home w/the 3 in the backseat w/just me! Whew! Looks like the rumor about the DMB / ABB show at Piedmont Park was spot on including the day of the announcement. I grabbed 6 tickets about 2 hours after they went on sale. Any clue on why they list gen admin sections?? Or is that just a Ticketmaster thing?.... Either way, very excited about the show. Always excited when this version of the Allmans gets exposure to those who might not realize how awesome this band sounds right now. I'd love some Fox shows too, but this is so unique. Brothers drew 15K to Lakewood by themselves in the rain last year so I am a bit surprised that they are not more prominently listed at the Piedmont Park & Ticketbastard sites. Clearly the DMB are a monster draw. I haven't seen them since about 1999 but did see them a number of times in the Horde era. I bet the ABB play close to 2 hours and same for DMB. Fun day after coming from Bobby Dodd Stadium/Grant Field that afternoon.
