Especially when we can't even change our own family members and loved ones from their own destructive behavior! Hey I love Dickey Betts' music as much as anybody here. And should he ... God forbid ... perish by his own "perceived" addictions like countless others in the rock-n-roll pantheon (including several from the ABB fold) then ... so frickin' be it! I have two people that are very close to me, one living on the streets and the other making her family's (mine included) life a living hell because of "crack." They don't have websites or countless adoring fans and certainly no access to cash to afford their habits other than by cheating, lying ,stealing and whatever other means of degrading themselves. Interventions, rehabs and countless prayers have "yet" proved unsuccessful. But ... I'll continue to pray for them and Dickey and anybody else here that asks. But ... knowing full well that God's will (not mine) will be done. Hey, I'm sorry if I've gotten a little too deep and harshed mellows. I tried not to succumb to all the recent "preaching" and gung-ho crusaderism going on here. I just felt a little perspective may have been needed ... I mean is there any real difference in Dickey's latest escapades and Lindsay Lohan's? And who really gives a rat's *ss anyway?
