I agree with ya Woody, except one thing. Handlers and enablers prey upon the weaknesses of their friend/lover/spouse/parent/employer/wannabe whatever. Those types just cause the circle to close in. Its dysfunctional love is what it is, and its just plain dysfunctional. The fact someone does things other than get high does not take away from the problem. But then again, some folks manage their addictions better than others. We all know that to be true....we all have people we know who are better drunks than others, and we all know of folks who do drugs better than others. So, perhaps these things, for some, can be managed although that is a scary and dangerous concept for some to consider. Rubs too far against the mainstream. Whatever the case, this all goes back to Brother Tommy and his concerns, and I support that passion, regardless of how true the actual situation is....I guess with Dickey, it is a dynamic of sorts. On again, off again.
