My wife and I went to the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis just to see the Allman Brothers. Maybe I am getting too old for these things. I'm 53 and am recovering from Open Heart Surgery. We stood around and enjoyed The North Mississippi All Stars, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Government Mule. The ABB came on about 11:00pm. By then, I was so exhausted from standing up for over 5 hours that I could not enjoy the show. Standing in that crowd of partially unpleasant people turned out to be more than we could take and we had to leave early. We were very dissapointed. If we could have simply had a seat where we could see the bands, we would have been fine. I have been a fan of Greg Allman's work since the Allman Joys were playing Nashville in the '60s. I cannot count how many times I have travelled to see the ABB play in a 250 mile radius of Nashville, but I will never attend a No Seat event ever again!!! I saw the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd at Memphis' Mud Island Ampitheater a couple of years ago and that was great, but I will never stand in a field with thousands of people pushing and shoving to see any Band again. I look forward to seeing the Allman Brothers again, but only with a ticket that has a Seat and Row number. Thanks for listening, Stan
