In a similar vein to the band thread, I witnessed my older daughter’s last High School Valley Championship swim meet yesterday and it was kind of bittersweet. She is a middle of the pack swimmer and she did very well, fourth overall in the 100 free and broke a minute for this first time in her last event, which is amazing. She also beat her “nemesis” which was cool, but man my mortality is sure staring me in the face. I see all these kids that were babies yesterday “all growed up” and that seemed like last week. The next time I do this with my younger daughter I’ll be 62, Holy s%^t that is legitimately OLD!!!
That is why we need a west coast swing, the decades of serious partying takes its toll and I don’t know how long this beat up old body will hold out. I cherish each visit of the Bro’s to the left coast.
