:birthday: Dylan!
:birthday: to the beautiful and sweet Sister Jody-girl..Much love to you and Frank...
Kevin and I just got back from the Concrete Coast...enjoyed a few days off alone together...
Kevin is so sweet, surprised ol Grandmama with a new ride, motorhead that I am..been having a ball rocketing around town those moments when Im not doing the Grandbaby-darlings mini van entourage.
0-40 in a hundreth of a second, yehaw!
Surround sounded myself with an oldie but goodie ABB show from 8-17-97 Vitamin J and D and a healthy dose of LRP all week long ,thanks to Jack in the Great White North...
Enjoyed a fabulous music weekend with the red-hottest slide guitar player this side of Heaven, Lee Roy Parnell.
Understand why they call South FLA Big Sugar, when LR is in town, a little bit of LR and we are living in the house of Love...Thanks little Brother for everything you do.
The Bamboo Room crowd was out in full force, but LR never lets that stop him from treating me fine, opening with the first 3 notes to Hot 'Lanta, my inner ABB Soul begging for more, he took us to the High Falls , like a cool breeze on a sultry Southern night than let us down easy with a soft gentle Lizzie Reed that left me at Peach.
Stunning the crowd to hush, than exploding into Back to The Well, it was clear these were his people, the crowd erupted into a frenzy with LR's slide blistering leading the way, his new band can barely keep up, Ive got dreams, and when I do, LR is playing with Dickey and JP and the Allman Brothers Band...
LR lovingly refers his South-rocking Cant Lose Them All as a tribute to his favorite band. Pulsing with the same powerful graciousness of a classic Allman Brothers Band tune, love it.
Daddies and Daughters is Gospel in our home, Grandbaby-dolly Ashley's favorite along with Back To the Well..She shys away behind Pop-pa for most of the (saturday outdoor Art Festival in Melbourne) show, but when she peeped out from behind his knees for Daddies and Daughters, even LR up there on that big stage could see the lovelight in her eyes..
More highlights incuded a sweet LR solo set, while the band took a break, and the extremely intimate Saving Grace, LR's love song for his pretty wife Donna.
Saving Grace is a show onto itself, good manners tell you to look away, but your eyes cant help but peek at this beautiful man baring his Soul , pouring out his love for his one and only.
Sunday finds us back here at the Country Coast , time to hit my knees running, say Grace and thank God ...
Special thanks/ God bless Bill for keeping the band safe on the road.
People down in Georiga come from near and far, see Lee Roy Parnell burning Hot Lanta down at Old Smiths Bar....Tonite only...
