A big thank you to everyone in NY this weekend (in person and in spirit!) that made it so wonderful!!
It sure is good for the soul to be surrounded by so many smiling faces. The weekend is a living dream!
Our HTW family is bursting with talent. The jams at both the pre-show parties were top notch and could have gone all night, I'm sure! Many thanks to the Sweeties, HTN, Scotty and Big Rich for turning out 2 fabulous parties and to SkydogSys and Lamdog for keeping the music flowing. I hope Lampups documentary is playing at a theatre near me soon!
It's always a treat to add new faces to the list. A pleasure to meet Eileen, Rainy and Lolasdeb and Del's lovely lady, Heidi. Heidi fit in so well it's as if she's been with us for years!
It was also fun to meet the Southern Gents - BDOB, Bluedad, Haisja and Brent. (Brent - sending some healing vibes for your girlfriend)
Peachnutt and Marley with smiles on their faces - priceless. I hope they got a good dose of love to take back to Tyler.
The Bomberry kids are WONDERFUL!! Karen and Lynn should be beaming with pride. So should Lana. The more time I spend with Shey, the more she impresses me.
Okay...so on to the ABB side of things - Friday night's ABB show is the one that knocked my socks off. It had me from the opening 'dinner bell' calling of "Don't Keep Me Wondering" and never let go. I absolutely loved the vibe.
Sorry to hear Warren wasn't feeling well. He's a trouper for sticking it out. What commitment. The AWTNM was incredible and I can't wait to get my hands on this show just to hear that again. Scratch that, I can't wait to hear the whole show again. This isn't one of those shows that just looks good on paper. It delivers.
Susan brought her A-game, I tell ya. After they did her tune, she turned out some killer guitar work and sounded the best I've heard her play!
I loved that Jr. Mack was able to play, too. This guy is the real deal and I think he raised more than a few eyebrows in the Beacon.
At the shows end, I floated out of the theatre.
As always, there's never enough time to say goodbye to everyone as the weekend comes to a close. I hope everyone had painless travel home and it's not too long before I see you again.
