jeffgriffin: The Atlanta Midtown Music Festivel is an annual event drawing records crowds each year. It's held in "midtown" ! The Allman Brothers now infamous May 2000 (Dickey's last show) was at this very event. Alex Cooley and Peter Conlin have promoted this festival since it's inception. The festival will go into it's 9th year this coming spring. It's held the first weekend in May. It draws large crowds and has several stages, I can't remember how many! Music Midtown is the largest music festival in the South, drawing massive crowds annually. there's something for everyone. It's a great time....the dogwoods are in full bloom and the music is incredible...all genres are represented as well as national artisians, theatre companies, dance companies, ethnic food vendors....you name it, it's here in Atlanta in May.
