Lefty, I know what you mean. I'm terrible with names, so I can't recall at the moment the name of the wonderful GBer facing a health challenge, it was a male GB er :0) who posted almost a year ago I guess, something like "I challenge you to listen to 'Layla' and not cry." I was so touched by his expressing that. I often hear that song in "ordinary" places, like Safeway, or waiting for my car at a garage, etc., and it always evokes a moving sense of the inherent magnificence of life, throughout the enthralling spectrum of enjoyment and heartbreak. It's so neat to be in the middle of a "routine" thing and be touched by an awareness of the beautiful miraculousness of conscious awareness in the human being in this vast universe. So it was so great to hear that GBer address that because once in a while I wonder if other people are feeling this, wherever I might be, like in the Safeway aisles for example. :0) So touching to read that post, I felt like, Oh, yes, I do know what you're talking about, I do feel that way! I've often remembered him since that post, and enjoyed a kindred sense of spirit. Thanks to this GB! Whoever you are, :0) Thank You for emphasizing the importance of bringing that very core awareness to the fore, amidst all the illusory sense of ordinariness that can hypnotically overlay the magic of being. Thanks for addressing the inevitable wonder of all that is, which true music evokes! And Lefty thanks for expanding that into the truth that you pointed out, that underlies the hype that can be so mezmorizing, but that ultimately pales, or disillusions us completely, in comparison with the honest, direct, presence of Soul in everyone, especially those who shine brightly under the most pressure. Shine on! (I'm in a rush, so hope this came out in a way that makes sense!) Love, Janet
