Beacon run seems to have people rapping about when and where? A good point was made and really its the only point that makes a real difference. Point being time of year. To cold around March and April. The walk from the beacon to the hotel two blocks away was like a night mare. June is the ideal time to do that gig. Weather is usually great and one can get out of the hotel and walk around, go to the park and hang. One must remember you are there for a few days, and being in the room for that time period is not to bad. Just try it for three weeks. The walls start coming in on you, and I do believe the music suffers somewhat. Sure shows are good, but just think how much better they would be if the band was not thawing out for the first hour. I love New York, but that time of year around March is for the birds, and I find myself cursing the city. Loved playing the Beacon. Hated the Beacon run in March
