Hi Folks - I'm Dan Renwick, the drummer for the Hugh Gaskins Band. I just wanted to tell you all what an honor and a blast it was for us to participate in JFD. The warmth, cameraderie, and love of music and life was something to behold, and I just want to thank all of those who made it possible. Lefty, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you - but man, I gotta tell you, I know you had to have felt the love radiating your way from Gadsden - you hold a special place in a lot of people's hearts. Best of luck to you and yours, bro. Also, a huge thanks to all of our new friends who made the San Diego contingent feel so welcome and at home. Brent - thanks for all of your tireless work in helping put it all together. Bluedad - one of the nicest guys I've ever met, despite what y'all were saying about him 😉 George - thanks for adding some real nice B3 to our mix. I'm leaving a whole lotta folks out, but you've all got some friends in S.D. - should you make it out this way we'd love to repay the hospitality. To all the bands and jammers, all I can say is you guys ROCK. That was a whole helluva a lot of talent in that room - I was truly impressed! Hope y'all enjoyed what we brought to the table as well. Finally, I want to give a shout out to the big man, Marion Sindorf (can we all just agree to call him Sam?) for introducing us to the event and making it happen for us, and a big hug and a thank you to my dad for making the drive down from N.
