Well, in 12 days I get to see Derek/EC.......have heard pros and cons about EC's reation to Derek. I CAN TELL YOU THIS............Miami Arena will know that a Derek Trucks fan is there. Yes, I agree Dickey & EC are GREAT guitar players, but the"kid" will be more of a legend then both of them one day.
He IS THE most incredible slide guitar player I HAVE ever heard since Duane.......someday the WORLD will realize that.........all in due time. And so humble and polite....that is what makes him SO special.... I think EC knows it and is feeling just a little bit jealous...........which he should not be.....he should be honored that the blues will live on in Derek.........I know Duane is.
Jeanne, you go girl, one of my cousins and a very good friend of mine are both breat cancer survivors..........I appreciate all you do to support the research. Right now my cousin, you is cancer free, and who had lost both breats, is in a very deep depression............has been for almost a year now..........no one can seem to get through to her that she has a 2nd chance at LIFE and a 12 year old son to raise...I pray each & every day that someone can get through to her.
Made my day to hear the Joe Torre will be back next year..not his fault we did not pitch or hit well..........hopefully in the off season they will acquire a couple of eatablished pitchers and that Sheffield & A-Rod earn their pay. I can't complain, they got beat, fair & square..they did not pitch well or hit well...........but 9 Division championships is nothing to sneeze at..........hopefully they can rebuild this winter.
Now talk about being depressed, my beloved Raiders really S*ck this season. One loss in pre-season and now they look like they have no idea what they are doing on the football field..........go figure...........maybe Randy Moss will join TO and The Tuna can deal with both of them. but I will still watch EVERY game....have not been a fan for 39 years for nothing.....even thought the last few have been bad...........WE NEED BIG JOHN BACK!!!!....not that it will ever happen, but I can dream, can't I.
