SPAC review, sounds like sour grapes from the reporter. The only point that struck home with me was the Gregg vocals thing. I have lots of shows where Gregg is down in the mix. They seem to have addressed that this year. He is up in the mix, but compared with other acts he is borderline low still. Look at other strong singers with good voices and how they are presented. Bob Seger comes to mind, that should be a role model on a concert mix to showcase a GREAT vocalist. The irony is, the early stuff with Duane, they had him high in the mix (Fillmore). It has been a puzzling issue for me, one of the greatest vocalists ever, and they had him in the lower half of the mix, now improved, he is squarley about in the middle. They are missing recording a historic voice at its best. Look at how they presented Gregg on Peakin at the Beacon. I can see where a less knowledgeable fan who wonder the words.
