Well, my inturpitation of the gay rights piece Warren was stating seemed pretty clear as it's been discussed numerous times. In making gay rights an issue (where is SHOULDN'T have been one) was to make it an issue to divert from the REAL issues in the last election. In making something such as gay rights part of the platform of the last election was to insure the vote of the Bilble Belt. Anyway, that's just one song and I felt it interesting that Warren "went political", as it certainly isn't the norm. In my band back a few years ago we did a fund raiser for an internationally known political figure who was running for govenor of Florida. One of the band member's wife was very active in her campaign It was fun, and at that time everyone in the band had the same political beliefs more or less (except for me. I believe that all politicians are complete dirtbags, regardless of party. Why do you think they're politicians in the first place? At the same time, I realize it's a nessesary evil) so it worked out well. We were asked to play for her election party up in Tallahassee, but I declined. I felt that it would alienate 50% of our audience "Oh those guys supported So and So. Forget that!". Besides, I always found it peculier that anyone would actually give a rat's petooty about what a musician, actor, ...ex thought politically. "Hello. I don't have a brain of my own so I'll do whatever Danny Glover tells me to do, so I'm supporting Hugo Chavez from here on in". Now there's a dose of logic to start the day!!! 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮
