well, i just found this site. I first saw the abb at the electric zoo in st. pete in summer of '69. they played there 3 times i think. that was my club and i used to go there on weekends, only hip place for 18 yr. olds in the area. then i saw them at some club that held a larger crowd near on the beach (maybe reddington). after that toward the end of the summer at the tampa armory. then i went to the university of florida and saw them at the rathskeller on campus in gainesville in the fall of '69. then i went to see my sister in new york city for christmas 69. she knew i was big abb fan so she bought us tickets for their first filmore east concert. they opened for blood, sweat and tears. when they were introduced it was real quite, i must have been the only person who knew who they were, but i was pretty shy then so i didn't say anything. of course after first song, everyone jumped up and cheered, the rest is history. haven't seen them since. actually i heard the very end of an interview with one of the band about their filmore shows on the fm here in new york city area, i was just looking for the rest of interview when spotted this site.
