Hey y'all....need to ask a favor... Would you please keep the family of Wiley Smith in your prayers when you say them?? Wiley was Part Time Blues Band bass player and passed away about 4:00pm this afternoon. He was diagnosed about 3 or 4 months ago with spinal, liver, lung and brain cancer. The only symptom that he had was extreme back pain that came on all at once. I am so thankful that I got to see Wiley about a month ago. He was able to play an acoustic show with Part Time. I got to hug him, tell him that I love him...I'll always remember his eyes sparkling that night while the music took him to a place where he was free from pain for an evening. He was even able to sing on JJ Cale's "Crazy Mama" that I had requested. We had planned a benefit for him this Sunday at Double Door on the Lake. It will now be a Memorial benefit with all proceeds going to help with his expenses. Anyone in the area, please come join us. I really appreciate the prayers for his wife, Neva and his son...and dont forget to tell your loved ones that you love them.
