The other day I was at the pc and put the Nassau Coliseum 5/1/73 disc on. I wanted to hear side 2. I let it play until it got to Les Brers and it was as if I had picked up a brand new CD!! I'm pulling Jaimoe amd Butch out and concentrating on just their parts and I'm hearing all of these little moments as the B3 and bass just start to swirl like some dervish and I am once again captured. Thanks to the band for allowing this show to be released! To anybody reading this that has this show, just go plop it in the machine and we could have a coast to coast Les Brers moment. 🙂 I'm tickled when somebody asks me why I have so many versions of the same song... We all know that the band never plays the same song the 'same way'. That only explains half of it---we choose at any listening moment which path to take...do we rumble with the bass , soar with the Leslie, fly with the slide or just jump from drum kit to drum kit? It is never passive , this listening to The Brothers!!
