Hope all of my friends that were in Raleigh have safe trips to their next destination - whether home or to Atlanta!! It was great seeing all of you...Scott, where's all of that red hair??? LOL!! Great seeing you again!! Gregg's voice was in great form last night....Derek (my baby) made me proud...I cant wait to see him with Clapton in Oct!! I stayed about a quarter of the way through Rockin' Horse and did not return to my seat for the rest of the night...it was too hot and the setlist was not that exciting for me...just my personal preferences of songs. "Smokestack Lightning" was the highlight of the evening songwise for me. But we were also surprised when we heard "Little Martha" starting to play so early. However, it did give those leaving for Atlanta after the show an early start. I also am so impressed with Walnut Creek (Alltel Pavilion) that I intend to let them know. It's so nice to go to a clean bathroom. They had a Welcome Center where they offered free ear plugs, insect spray, and yes....FREE WATER. Take them your empty water bottle and they replaced it from the Le Bleu water dispenser!! I also like that they have very subdued lighting in the venue during the perfomance. It is enough that you can easily find your way to your seat ....not pitch black, like Charlotte. This has to be the BEST venue of them all!! Hope that all going to Atlanta enjoy a great show and I hope that Jaimoe is feeling better and will be able to return to the stage tonight.
