Stopped by to say hello, been out of touch. My daughters Bat Mitzvah was a resounding success and the week in Yosemite was sorely needed and greatly appreciated. Interesting dynamic in the National parks, it sure seemed like there are virtually no Americans taking vacations. Lots of Asian and European travelers but we as a culture certainly seemed to have forgotten how to relax. Corporate Amerika has tricked us into believing success equates to little or no time off. After a couple of days in the woods you actually start to remember who you are, then you start worrying about going back to work, it is a shame. It doesn't seem to adversely affect European businesses to take off 4-6 weeks every summer. We are overworked, overstressed and over used.
I've been demoted from a director to an individual contributor so I'm going to come in later and leave eariler. That is my new mantra. Screw "em!
