Chris, we're all Clapton fans, that's why we all bought these expensive tickets. But there's a bit of frustration from reading some of the reviews from Europe. A slow start was expected, it takes awhile for musicians of this level to meld. But it's been long enough now for them to be comfortable and loose with each other, and the expectations from this collaboration were and are extremely high, at least in my mind. So much potential. A moment in time that may never happen again. We watch Warren and Derek take spontaneous creation to its highest level on a regular basis these days, I assume EC could too, if he just WOULD! That's the point--go for it, man! Have fun, let the chips fall where they may! May be a clunker, may be brilliant---but you don't know if you don't try. I would love to see this group go totally spontaneous--toss the setlist, let the arrangements change onstage at will. Willie and Derek can bring it all back together if they get too far out there--I assume all in the band are of the highest calibre. I just hate to see a moment like this pass without giving it a shot at reaching it's fullest potential, that's all. Just one guy's opinion, nothing more. EAPFP
