You can find this in the Forum, but for anyone who doesn't venture into that section of the website, here you go - something I cut out of a review from the Oslo Eric Clapton show....
After Midnight" bridged into "Little Queen Of Spades" and tonight this
one got the royal treatment.Easily the best tune of this night it
stretched out for a loong ride on the magical carpet..trading solos,
adding some tribal bazz..it really rode the heavens. The most magical ,
and the most disappointing moment of the evening came when Derek did
his slide solo right at the end..this time he pushed the envelope, and
Steve Jordan, the drummer sensed what as going on..so he shifted into
an african beat like drumming ..supporting Derek all the way while the
notes flowed seamlessly..it had a special indian raga flavor ..it built
and built and it lasted a long while..this time the "Songline" was
being built in the city of Oslo..After ending his solo Derek got
another standing ovation, but my mistake was probably when I looked
Eric rite then..he was mighty pissed, and the look he shot Derek could
fry a norwegian granite boulder..the maestro was not amused.
The rest of the show was so and so..nothing special, but solid work all
over.
