Thank you,Horace and Goliath for your kind words and for having me on Barry's cd project.I had the time of my life working with all of you guys.Everybody had some surprise moments while recording that were so outstanding. Some of the great moments were also in the conversations that had a chance to take place in those 5 days.Many things were said that we will always remember and be grateful for. Barry wrote a song on the spot that we played twice and got two good takes on only SECONDS before we needed to be in the car and make the NYC gig.........we were cutting it REALLY close! It was so magical a moment.Barry and Jaimoe were especially inspired and brilliant.....both otherworldly.Matt was perfect with a tone to live for........those kinds of moments.[Matt is also a very accomplished engineer].Barry was great at our NYC gig,too,when he sat in.Barry's talent just came out and out and out throughout the week.At every turn,I was shown that he was better than I expected. I have played with Jaimoe for over 15 years now.This is the first time that we have ever played 5 days in a row.I can't find the words to describe what happened,how we evolved and how great it felt and sounded.We got tighter and looser all at once in all of the right ways.Nobody brings a better attitude to the studio than Jaimoe.He is a bright light and we had a lot of laughs every day. I love the vibe and the sound of this studio.......great work! Racecar,the ABB's and Great Southern's former driver and lighting director stopped up for a surprise visit,too and that was great. My deepest thanks to everybody involved at every level including Pete Scheips and our supporters in Hartford and New York.It was a big team effort!
