Glad all the LonGislanders had fun at JB last night. Even though I really don't have the time right now, I've got to take a minute and recognize the incredible generosity of Goliath. Although many in this book have graced me with their largesse, David WENT OUT OF HIS WAY to track down a Los Lobos show from the Fillmore in S.F. that I attended in June when I was there. This is the show where they did Whippin' Post during the soundcheck and Don't Keep Me Wonderin' was the show's encore. I'll have memories from this trip that will last me a lifetime-the shows at the Warfield were incredible, and thanks to Sheep for providing those shows to keep the memories fresh, Lee N. for replacing said shows after I scratched ALL of 'em rollerblading on the lakefront in Milwaukee, and or course, Janette's hospitality. I could go on and on, but never did I think I'd get a copy of that Los Lobos show. Absolutely amazing that not only would I acquire all the shows that I attended on CD, but that I didn't even have to chase any of 'em down. David, you are a Prince among men. I can't tell you how happy receiving that show made me-not to mention the Los Super Seven extra tracks and the Invite-Only Los Lobos show from 6-11 in S.F. too. I only hope I can send around what has come around to me. David, thanks from the bottom of my heart, man.
