Mornin! *smile* Had some fun last night at the beach although that breeze almost took me away a time or two! Thought it was a great show. Just LOVED the AWTNM, Statesboro, Blackhearted Woman start. Now that's a way to get cooking. Have to say Derek was not in the spotlight last night, it was Warren's gig. It was very unusual to listen to Dreams and have no killer Derek solo. Warren took the whole song. The crowd seemed to respond positively to the new tunes which is very cool. Though I didn't turn around much, the crowd seemed to be on the 'well-behaved' side. I sat when it was slow but danced when I felt like moving and was never was asked to sit which was a pleasant surprise. I thought by doing the drum & bass solos at the end within the new instrumental, we'd get a 'quickie' close and a Revival encore but lo and behold they came out with Whipping Post! Cool!! I'll leave all the nitty gritty details to Marley, I was having some fun just bopping to some good tunes. Not the *best* show I've seen but still an awesome night overall meeting up with familiar faces and seeing new ones for the first time. Good weather, good tunes and good friends...can't complain about that! Was great to see Mitch and his posse, Gary & Marley, Gail & Mark and Jody & Gerald (who managed to upgrade their seats to the stage!) Lee..NLTRW was played last night. Got the crowd grooving but wasn't played with as much passion as I've sometimes heard it. Still, how can you not get up and dance with those drums?!
