.....has anyone heard how Red Dog is these days?
...FRIDAY IS THE DAY! Just got paid today, got me a pocketful of change (humming). Come on guys, bring your asses on to Oteils' back yard in September!! And bring plenty of water and gatoraide cause it's hot in the 'Ham during Dog Days.
...I was thinking today about, of all things, Grinderswitch. Barnes & Noble Bookstores has this very cool little gizmo; you can go to their music section and literally listen to ANY CD currently in production. It's fun to take a few minutes and scan through more obscure artists with this system. So today, I go in and type Grinderswitch and up pops their library, yada yada. Is anyone familiar with the system I am talking about? Actually, I was thinking how cool that would be to have at home, if for anything else to do immediate, dedicated, music research.
Anyway, I said what the heck, I will type in Frogwings, and sho' nuff', up comes their CD. What was interesting was the review of the Band; pretty much zinged the guys for being self-absorbed. Oh, well, can't win them all on the PR front (what do those bookworm types know about music anyway). Which remindes me to ask, why do I not see HTN in newsstands or bookstores?
