hey, benjamin,
remember my PC essay, the one you saw and i pulled? hahahahahaha!
hey, i don't care about Betts' personal life (except i do, but it's none of my business, so i don't need to know), all i care about is that for ONE NIGHT he showed up and bore down. from my POV, Betts showing up in MY town, where he used to be HUGE, and doing what he did means, for me, he's back. whatever happened before or after, or the next night or whatever, i care, and it might make me happy or it might make me sad, but like i said, i NEVER thought i'd get to see THAT again before i die, and it meant a lot to me, and to my wife, and to our friends that were there.
if that level of enthusiasm or caring about one of your heroes is too un-PC for some of y'all, tough. of race, religion and Dickey Betts, the topic most heavily PC-ed, as in "you can't say that, THAT's out-of-bounds to acknowledge, whatever, is Betts. how sad. can't even RAVE about him without making people mad.
have a great day everyone. me, i'm just looking forward to this year's version of West's Best.
