hey cool thing about Bonnie Raitt! in case i havent mentioned it, the ABB and DTB kicked a$$/took names Friday night in A/C....JEEPERS! thanks guys! nothing like an ABB show to adjust my attitiude and provide some wind for my sails......some highlights include hanging out on the beach pre-show with my buddy Benji.....seeing Jaquie soooo happy...... *sigh* also spent some time with angelemerald, ozzypie, cujo.... and musically, i had secretly wished for "Gilded Splinters" .....and had that wish fullfilled as warren dedicated it to mister Jenkins of course.....along with my favorite "Don't keep me Wonderin".......i guess i looked blissed out enough because when the good Farmer handed me the setlist at the end, i couldnt help but notice that they skipped "Same Thing....". Solid set. I have really begun to appreciate the WP encore i suppose because i've seen warren do some real solid solos in there that always seem to mix it up in a real good fashion. Holy Cow........lets NOT forget the "Will circle be unbroken" which damn near made me cry thinking of all you that i love so much! that song just really sums up the emotion that this band brings to my heart...... couldnt help notice that Derek busted out with a few EC licks from time to time......i figured Warren would be in charge since the DTB opened, this was pretty much a Derek show (for me, anyway....) watching him direct his own band (reminded me of Glenn Miller for some strange reason...) then trade licks with Warren....... *sigh* goddamned i'm one lucky chick to have gotten to stand at the feet of some of the best musicians to ever grace the stage. The rest of the band seemed pretty tight as usual, but because we were all the way up front i couldnt hear Mike Mattison AT ALL, or Gregg barely......fortuantely, i know all the words so it didnt matter too much...... looking forward to seeing quite a few of the Southern Contingent next week in Macon! YAHOOOO like Warren sang Friday.....PEOPLE CAN YOU FEEL IT? :thewave:
