The first time I met any GBers, was at a Sweeties Party....maybe 2002. I had been posting, but hadn't met anyone yet. I heard that I should just up to the room at Beacon Hotel. Not knowing a soul, I knocked on the door, and was insantly greeted by everyone, who made me feel like we were already friends for years! The first time I met Lana, was at a Dickey Betts show, at BB Kings Club. When the show was over, I started talking to Mark May, who is a terrific guy. After chatting for a few minutes, I asked if he knew if Lana was backstage. I then bravely asked if he could bring Lana out, and he smiled and said "Sure". Then the Queen of Peach herself came out, smiled and gave me a great big hug, which I soon came to is Lana's warm and friendly way of saying hello, even if you don't know her, because we were not strangers, we were part of our extended family. Thanks to Rowland and Lana for doing all this for us! Mitch
