The first time I ever met anybody from this site in person was in February/March of 2001 at the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta. I already had a ticket to one Friday Beacon show and was planning to head up for the whole weekend, and I read a post from a guy named Goliath saying that he had an extra ticket for that Saturday. We agreed to meet at the Yacht Club, drank a few beers and hit it off instantly.
We ended up going back to my apartment for some herbal refreshment and I played him a ferocious Derek "Dreams" from the 1999 Lakewood show. A great beginning to a great friendship! 🙂
