It’s amazing how familiar we become with one another via information and stories exchanged over this site. Bluedad and I were reminiscing over shows and times that we’ve spent together. We started trying to remember how many years that we’ve known each other. Turns out to be right at one. I met Bluedad and BigDaveOnBass at last year’s show in Savannah. They seem like old shoes to me – comfortable and easy to be with! The same is true with Hasija. I saw his face for the first time in my life Sunday at the Birmingham airport. Here again, it was like running into someone that I’ve known forever. This is a testament to Lana, Rowland, Duane Allman and the Allman Brothers Band. I sometimes wonder if y’all know what a thang y’all have created. I’ve never told him so, but I always have a great time just looking at WillieHoward’s face as all of these “old friends who have never met” congregate around the HTN booth. I know he’s got a beautiful daughter (Hannah, you’re gorgeous and charming!) – but the look in Bill’s eyes as he sees these gatherings is not unlike that of a proud pappa. This site, these folks and this band … RAWKS!
