"This isn't Vietnam. This isn't Kuwait. This isn't a political forum. This is a rock band website. I find you guys' nostalgic melodramatic "I got your back" talk disrespectful to the men and women who actually have their *sses on the line right this minute instead of sitting on their *ss participating in some weak internet flame war. You guys are acting like a prima donna football player who talks about going to war on Sunday. You want to talk about respect? I disagreed with Red Dog. I told him so and I told him why. That's a hell of a lot more respectful than kissing his butt because he's an "almost famous" roadie or because he's a Marine and humoring him like some crazy babbling old relative at Thanksgiving dinner. Red Dog spoke his mind and you defended his right to do so yet Pete spoke his mind and you tell him "love it or leave it". Marines or not, you Hemlock are a hypocrit and Red Dog should find some place else to float political conspiracy theories. Anytime you guys want to take this off-line just PM me and I'll delete every post I've made on the subject. Each time you respond you prove my original point: political sh*t talking has no place on the ABB Guestbook. " Bum, you make it sound like we're lining up to rumble. I told LUKE I have his back as a symbolic gesture between two brothers of the road. I have met LUKE and consider him a kindred spirit, both as a biker and as an ABB fan. I consider Hemlock a kindred spirit both as a bass player and as an ABB fan. I'll meet him one day and "burn one" with him. I have met Red Dog also, and I show respect to him not only as a wounded Viet Nam vet of the Marine Corp, but also as an original roadie of my favorite band. He's not almost famous. He IS famous. How do you think he got wrote into the story of Almost Famous? How many other roadies do you know by name outside the Allman Brothers Band, perhaps with the exception of Brian Farmer? I think now would be a good time for EVERYONE to lighten up! GEEZ
