Just a note to those who may be on the fence about the Family Bands Weekend.... The bands will be playing for the door. (Including OPM). They are providing their own transportation and rooms, the club is only taking out money for the sound man. It's a long way from San Francisco and Pittsburgh and Chicago to Alabama, there's substantial financial risk for these fine musicians. I'm in no way involved financially, I just get to listen to 2 days of great music and 2 days of hanging with y'all without leaving town. That's why I want this to be successful. But I did want to make the point that these guys, traveling from around the country, giving up local gigs, all at their own expense, are taking a risk. I hope it's worth it, I hope there's enough support for it to grow every year, maybe move around the country. It all comes down to what people want. Guess it's always like that. EAPFP
