First off Bird72, I'm sure you meant no harm, but you certainly could have worded it better. Frankly the terrorists' plan was pure genious. Pure evil but genious all the same. And you have to hand it to them. 9-11 ranks up there with Pearl Harbor. Personally I find it poor taste to do not one, but three movies about the United flight. Don't fall for the memorial for the fallen heroes crap. It is all about making money. Period.
I find Jim Sheridan's post a little off base as well. And I quote:
"Oh that Koran! Oddly enough, there are plenty of people who claim to follow the Bible yet can still endorse the death penalty, no matter what them 10 Commandments recommend."
The 10 Commandments are actually Old Testament Jewish Law. I'm certainly no theologian, but I imagine that the Old Testament forms a good portion of the Torah. You can also find in the OT the popular passage, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth."
If what Jim is trying to imply that Christians or people who claim to be Christians (people who follow Jesus) are hypocritical perhaps you should use to prove your point what Jesus, himself, said are the greatest commandments:
1. "To love God with all your heart, mind and strength."
And
2 "to love your neighbor as you would yourself."
I suppose there are people who claim to be Muslims just like there are those who claim to be Christian that use religion to wage war. Still a suicide bomber is a cowardly act.
I agree some with Skypup the President needs to address the economic situation. What I'm afraid is that he has .... in his best interest. W said jokingly the highlight of his presidency was catching a 71/2 lb bass. I would have to concur.
