Guest Book

Hey there.... saw this on Oteil's guest book and thought i'd post it here, considering the conversation last week....I'm just catching up, lots of work and lots of play (GA&F in FLA), and lots of art deco and seafood (yummm) and "friendly" conversations with rental car folks (and hi to the race track crowd). anyway, from Oteil's GB: "Hey everyone! I haven't been able to get online for the last few days because I'm in the process of moving into a new house. Our new phone just got turned on about 5 minutes ago. I was shocked to hear that everyone thought that I was getting fired from the band and I just want to let you know that it is NOT TRUE. I think that I would have heard SOMETHING about it! As someone else stated, I think that they would have probably got someone else to do the record if the were going to let me go. My room in New York is already booked for the Beacon shows so I know I'll be seeing you there. If I were to be fired, (or quit for that matter) I would certainly let everyone know "from the horses mouth". I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get online sooner and ease people's minds but circumstances wouldn't allow. All I can say is that in the future, PLEASE do not believe everything you hear. And if I DON'T respond right away, then take that as a GOOD sign. I can't always be around to do rumor control.
