i hope no one thinks i jumped on tony. we're just as in the dark at our house as i assume everyone else is. we looked at the clapton dates, and planned our summer around leaving open the weeks when derek's not with EC. i'm just saying that keeping this all running is bigger than worrying about making this more convenient for a relative handful of hard-core fans, and yet i BELIEVE that management does exactly that, as best they can, within the context of the big things they have to worry about. that's all. i love tony's enthusiasm. a few years ago, when i was hanging out with some people who have the means, unlike most of us, to go to as many shows as they want, wherever they want, someone told me -- i was probably all bummed about somewhere the band was going to be that i wasn't - "you can't be everywhere all at once." well, obviously, but that combination of words must've pushed the right button, because since then, it's been a lot easier not to stress about not being wherever...and somehow paradoxically, that's made the shows easier to get to. anyway, we're off to Robert Randolph at the smallest GA arena you've ever seen (a 1930's basketball arena - capacity less than 2000,) on easter eve, right down the street. how fun is that? always lotsa happy dancing women at a RR show! i'm with 3 of 'em! since i can't be everywhere all at once, i'm being here, GOT to enjoy it, GOT to think thoughts of hope for Wanee, that when people come back it's going to have been the BEST THING EVER. and we'll be happy for them, and for us, because our friends' happiness during our absence beneifts us, in so many ways. if that's not positive enough, i can do better. on to wedstock, i say!
