Here's another story in response to my earlier post regarding LamDog country being Barry Manilowland, Polkaland, Bobby Vintonland... One New Year's Eve my husband and another couple went to the local VFW for their New Year's Eve celebration. They had a band (mostly country-the more you drank, the better they sounded) and there was a dinner of "Pork and Cabbage". Pork and Cabbage is traditional up in that area and is considered to be lucky for New Years. They served us a HOT DOG AND SAUERKRAUT!!!! You can't make this stuff up. We laughed so hard that we were crying. These poor folks could not understand why we were laughing so hard. Just another LamDogland story.
