I'd like to take a moment and offer a thumbs-up, high-five, and sincere congradulations to my wife Gigi as last night she graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fanfare: :fanfare: :fanfare: :fanfare: Mercy is far and way the finest and most respected nursing school in Miami. Gigi graduated with a 3.50!!!! :fanfare: :fanfare: :fanfare: :fanfare: A bit of background: Gigi had been a single mom for most of her adult life. She had always been living from pay-check to pay-check in the seafood industry, always putting her three girls before anything she wanted to do. Once, the clutch took a dive in her car and she didn't have the money to repair it, but she had enough for a used one in the junkyard. So, she took a bus to the junkyard, having never worked on a car before, figuered out how to pull the clutch out of the junker and with that knowledge, went home and installed the clutch in her car. This was before I knew her and I asked her "How did you figure that out????" and she replied "I didn't have a choice. I needed the car to get the girls to school and get me to work, so I just figuered it out. It wasn't a matter of not knowing how to do it. I didn't have a choice. I HAD to figure it out." She always ran into stuff like that and somehow, through perseverience and determination.... and a whole lot of panic...and prayers.... she was always able to pull it out in the 11th hour and save the day for her family. She's always been able to do the needed miracle and pulled it off. Never anything more, just what was needed. Make a long story short, she's always wanted to be a nurse, but the opportunity was never there. She went into the medical field as a dialsys tech five years ago, then we put some doe aside and she went into nursing school 14 months ago full time. At 43 she graduated last evening. 50 years after her Mom graduated nursing school in Quebec. 😉 Gigi Richardson. YAHOO!!!!!!!!
