Okay folks, the 3 guests last night - Cornell Dupree, Jerry Jemmott and Bernard Purdie - all played with Duane on lots of sessions. The fact that the ABB got these guys together on stage is just amazing. How many other bands would share the stage with these guys - no one!
Look at the back of any Atlantic and Atco Records LP jacket. The musicians are usually listed, and these guys are usually there!
I was at the 3/13 show last Monday. That was really special. But this 3/20 show was totally different, special in it's very own way.
Gregg seemed very excited and actually said something really nice about these guys. Unfortunately I didn't catch exactly what he said, but he sure was having fun playing with them.
